About the Event
NextFavBand’s 3rd annual evening that seeks to create a safe space for brave stories and powerful music honoring mental health struggle.
Listen to the Dissonance is Your Next Favorite Band’s annual music & conversation experience dedicated to raising mental health awareness through live performance, storytelling, and community connection. Since 2024, this event has created a supportive space where artists and audiences come together to listen, reflect, and share through powerful songs and brave conversations about personal journeys with mental health.
Back again for 2026, Listen to the Dissonance continues to blend intimate live music with heartfelt discussion. Featuring performances from acclaimed musicians CLOVER, Judah Kim, Barney Cortez, and Patty Pershayla, this year’s lineup brings together a diverse range of voices and musical styles — from evocative songwriting to genre-defying sounds — all united by their courage in sharing stories that matter. Each artist will perform solo sets interwoven with moderated conversations exploring mental health, resilience, creativity, and connection through music.
The event remains true to its mission of encouraging destigmafication, and establishing that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Attendees are invited not just to witness performances, but to engage — a powerful reminder of how music connects us and how shared stories can inspire hope.
Listen to the Dissonance is more than a concert — it’s a community gathering and a heartfelt moment of reflection, celebration, and honest exchange that highlights the transformative power of music and meaningful dialogue.
