Back in 2008, veteran Michael Focareto was assigned a project as part of a self-help course he was taking, that asked him to develop something that would help the community and enlist others to help him bring it to life. He looked around the sporting event he was at and saw many empty seats. Knowing how much events like this would mean to the thousands of veterans and first responders across the country, he created the Veterans Ticket Foundation.
We’re joined by Chief Strategy Officer Steven Weintraub, a heavily decorated veteran of the Marine Corp himself, spending 32 years with them, reaching the rank of Colonel. He found the challenges of returning to civilian life difficult and knew it was for others too. So he received a Masters in Business Administration, and joined Veterans Ticket Foundation.
This incredible organization reached 1M tickets donated 9 years ago, reached 10M donated 2 years ago, and then got to 20M donated 6 months ago. We cannot wait to hear more about Steven’s story and that of VitTix.org, and learn how we can all support them and our veterans.
