Biography

Tim DeLaughter is the frontman of Tripping Daisy, The Polyphonic Spree, and Preteen Zenith. 

With Tripping Daisy, Tim released 4 albums and received extensive rotation on MTV for the song “I Got a Girl”.  The Polyphonic Spree was formed in 2000 and started as collaboration between DeLaughter and 12 other musicians, with its ranks swelling to almost 30 musicians over time.  Their first album “The Beginning Stages of…” was released in 2002 on his own Good Records. The Spree has had songs placed in Apple/VW advertising campaign, the TV series Scrubs, the documentary Murderball, and recorded music for the Showtime series “Weeds” and “The United States of Tara”, for which Tim receive an Emmy nomination.  The Polyphonic Spree have released eight albums with their newest album “Salvage Enterprise” in 2023 marking their first release of original music in nearly a decade.
